A few weeks ago Casie contacted me wanting to know if I would take pictures of her new little Christmas present, Landon. Landon finally made his arrival on December 19, and one week later we had our photo shoot in the beautiful home of the Schefflers. Landon is so precious, and though we had to stop a few times to calm him down he did beautifully and I got some really great shots of him. Earlier this month I had the wonderful opportunity of taking pictures of Courtney, Sean and their adorable dog in Frisco. Courtney found the cutest place to go to take pics. I'm definitely going back! Courtney wanted some pics of just her and Sean and then a few with their dog Coby. He was the cutest thing all I had to say was "Snappy Snacks" and his ears perked up perfectly every time. I couldn't get enough. Well, I'm here in North Carolina visiting Aubi and TA and so Nick can finish up business before we head back to Texas. The trip was roughly 18 hours!! Sooo long, but the kids were amazing! We arrived in Charlotte at 2 am. That is when I was told we were going to the beach to vacay for the next couple of days. So, Aubi, all three kids and I went down to Oak Island where one of their friends has a beach house right on the ocean! It was absolutely beautiful and couldn't have been more relaxing. While we were there I got to take pics of all of the kids. There are a lot of pics to this post so hang in there :)

This June I got the opportunity to photograph my best friend while she was pregnant!! I was so excited when I first found out and couldn't wait from day one for her to get big enough for me to shoot a maternity session. She lives in Florida which made for some great background pics. Anyway, she did awesome! Despise the heat, and it is very humid in Florida. Aubi kept asking for breaks in between photos...haha But, she was a trooper. Grayce had her 4th birthday on June 24th. It was a Toy Story theme per request of the birthday girl. First we went to see Toy Story 3 in 3D Then we went to Peter Piper Pizza where we all had pizza, played games, ate cake, and opened presents. It was a wonderful day!

Butterflies

We went to the butterfly exhibit at the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth and I got some good pics of not only the butterflies, but the plant life as well. This really made me want to buy a macro lens! I could have gotten some really awesome pics with one. But, I'm satisfied with the ones I took. Maybe next year I'll have one!! :)

So, we had a few visitors in front of our house the other day. They were gorgeous...I don't think the pictures even captured their true beauty! They walked right into our front yard and then hopped the fence and flew on the roof of our neighbor's house. It was so awesome to see and the kids just loved it, and I got a few good pics out of it too. They live at the lodge down the road from our house and I hope to go photograph them more when the weather gets better...it's sooo cold today! I'm definitely ready for warm weather!

Brodey's First Haircut

Last week I took Brodey to get his haircut for the first time. I was a little worried that he wouldn't be on his best behavior...which was a good assumption. I had to hold him the entire time so the lady could cut his hair without his screaming his head off! But, he seemed content as long as I was holding him and he had his sucker in his hand. If either of those two changed he was not happy. Well, of course, like any mother I wanted to document this special occasion and since I was unable to take his picture during the actual haircut I decided to stage it after the fact. Well, needless to say that did not go over well, as you will see in the first picture. The second I set him down he started crying his head off and didn't stop until I picked him up again. The other pictures are at my house after he calmed down a bit. Either way, we had a good time and Brodey definitely made it memorable.

Lane's Birthday

This past weekend was my nephew Lane's birthday and I got the opportunity to be his photographer for the day. My sister-in-law is starting a party planning business, and she is awesome at it! Everything about this party was perfect. So if you know of anyone who is looking for someone to plan your next event then let me know and I'll get her for you!

The Mushroom

I know this is totally random, but I have this huge, orange mushroom growing in my front yard. It is the biggest mushroom I have ever seen in person! And, it is also orange, I've never seen a mushroom this color before. It's really pretty and almost looks like a flower. Anyway, I thought I would put some pics up of it cause it is something you have to see to believe!

So, I went and got the kids' halloween costumes today and Grayce was so excited that I let her put it on when we got home. I then made her go outside and pose for me. She did pretty well, but was sort of distracted with her tail and the world around her. Next, it was Brodey's turn...he is the cutest little pumpkin I've ever seen!! He has a very short attention span as does most babies, but he wouldn't even look at the camera. I think he may have once...oh well. They did pretty well, and looked really cute!

So, Taylor, the senior who I did her senior pictures for asked me to also come and take pictures of her playing volleyball. It was pretty challenging, but I did end up getting some pretty good shots of the girls. While Taylor wasn't in the middle of the action, I took the opportunity to take some pics of some of the other girls...I took so many pics but only had a about ten or so favs.

So, this weekend I got the chance to take Taylor's senior pictures. It was my first time to be by myself, and I think it went pretty well. She was so sweet and easy to work with not to mention extremely photogenic. I had so much fun while on the shoot, it didn't feel like I was working at all. I could have done it all day!

So, this weekend I'm going to get the chance to sit in on my first photo shoot with Lyncca, a photographer in the Fort Worth/Dallas area.

Anyway, she has been so nice to me and has really been helping me out with giving me pointers about getting started in photography, and she is allowing me to come and assist her during one of her shoots this Saturday!!! I'm so pumped. So, I will definitely be posting some pictures after this weekend!

I know I haven't uploaded any more pictures, it's because my son has been sick all week and therefore I have had zero time to do anything but cater to him. He had an upper respiratory infection, and now he has an ear infection in both ears...my poor baby! But, we are praying that he is going to make a full recovery very soon!

Anyway, next weekend I am going to fort worth to go to some football games, and while I'm there I hope to have a photo shoot with my adorable nephews. So as soon as I get some new pics I will post them asap!

So I finally got my new camera and Mac computer and have already taken a lot of pictures. It has been so much fun to photograph everything.
